It’s quite a sensory tale—appealing to almost all the appetites a person has, especially taste, smell, and touch. Above all, the writing is superb; the tone is often silly and ridiculous, but the dialogue is just right between two sisters so different from one another. I had some laugh-out-loud moments at the predicaments they got themselves into. The author definitely has a flair for coming up with snappy repartee when needed. The Savino sisters, El and Margo are at it again. Still in Italy they're trying desperately to unveil the seemingly sinister and very romantic secrets of their grandmother Claritas' past. Grandmas' past involves both murders and romance.The author describes the Italian markets, cuisine, homesteads, furnishings,etc. in such a way to make you feel you're there with them in Italy. The finale of this book leads me to believe the girls will be on another quest when they return to the States. This time involving their mother and another murder mystery.
